Bricks
nominated for " Nederlandse Designprijzen
2007 "
The
new brick designs by Boo | Ben Oostrum
Ontwerpt and VVLFB are nominated for
the Dutch design Awards 2007.
From over 526 participants the professional
jury selected the 100 best entries within
the main categories communication, environment,
interaction and product. From these
100 projects, 40 entries are
nominated for the Dutch Design
Awards, amongst which our new Bricks
Designs.
The
winners will be announced on October
20th by Columnist, TV presenter and
former editor of Quote magazine Jort
Kelder during the distribution of prizes
at "Het Klokgebouw" in Eindhoven.
According
to the BNO, the Association of Dutch
Designers, the nominees " represent
the work of designers and architects
who are driving innovation in the service
of the business world and society as
a whole"

The
Cube Brick has a hexagonal basic shape
with joints that accentuate the cube’s
contours. Interlinked in a wall surface
a dazzling “spatial” effect
is created.

The
Line Brick Horizontal combined with
the Line Brick Vertical gives the Pixel
Brick, a stone which creates the image
of extra small bricks. Special about
this design is the possibility to create
pixel-art images, text and more when
so-called pixels are chopped off while
assembling. |

Erect1
Don't
you just hate it when you never seem
to have candles of the right size at
hand when you need them? That problem
is over now, for the Erect1 holds candles
from 19 mm up to 24 mm and always straight
up. No more bungling with matches, knives
or whatever it takes to make your candle
fit and get them straight. No! Just
simply press the candle into the candleholder
Erect1 and the cutting edges will cut
right through the candle creating a
solid fixture.
