For
PWS in Rotterdam we've decorated, together
with Studio Magnolia, two model apartments
at the Schiecentrale in Rotterdam. We
managed to realize this project in a
tremendously short period of time thanks
to the willingness and enthusiasm of
many people from many companies.
For this project we worked together
with:
Lensvelt
Illum / Dark
Texdecor / Casadeco / Caselio / Rothmeijer
Evident / Forbo

The
temporary extension of primary school
"het Landje" in Rotterdam
has been set up in an old office building.
With the tree as a symbol of “het
Landje” I tried to make it look
like a school again. The foil was cut
and installed by Deege.

| 2008 |
And
so a year has passed since my last newsletter.
It has been so very busy this year that
I didn’t find time for extras
like newsletters. But here it is, in
the last month of the year, a short
summery of what I’ve been up to.
It has not just been a busy year but
it has also been a great year. BOO experienced
a tremendous growth and will be expanding.
In
my December newsletter I used to sum
up everybody who has been of help that
year, but I’m afraid the list
will be too long so I just want to thank
everybody who contributed to BOO's success
this year in any way and I hope we will
continue working together in 2009 and
beyond.
Thanks!

| Tokyo |

This
year I went to Tokyo again.
With the help and support of the EVD,
the Chamber of Commerce, The Royal
Dutch embassy and Jetro, it was a
great success. Next to the people
working in these institutes I received
tremendous help from my fellow members
of the Rotterdam Japan Club and also
the Japanese lessons I have been taking
from Maria van den Broek of Tonbo,
were of great help. I was introduced
at a lot of interesting companies
and met very interesting and nice
people. I trust these contacts will
lead to assignments and collaborations
in the near future.
But there was more. I also met a lot
of people on a more personal level
in Tokyo. It was very nice to meet
some of my Asoboo friends, was guided
through Kamakura by Hiromi Tanaka
and I always felt very welcome in
my favourite Izakaya “Kin-chan”
in Asakusa, where this picture was
taken. Be sure to visit Kin-chan when
you go to Tokyo and say hi to Eryca
and her family and friends for me.

Introducing
Susan Vlemminx:

Hi,
I am Susan Vlemminx. From the
start of the new year I will
be part of the BOO team. I am
22 years old and just graduated
from the Royal Academy of Art
in The Hague. At the moment
I follow a master programme
at the Piet Zwart Institute
in Rotterdam.
I am very excited with this
job and I see a lot of opportunities
and challenges. Not only at
a personal level but also as
part of a creative team. Especially
with a young and dynamic company
like Boo.
